12th Annual Golf Tournament

AUGUST 9, 2025 “Drew’s Home Golf Outing is a blast,” said Ryan Pizzo, a golf outing regular.

“It’s a worthy cause that helps people and that’s what community is all

about. We make a difference and have fun with friends on a beautiful golf course with

great food.”

We also want to thank the Boulder Pointe staff for their efforts to ensure a

successful event.

According to the numbers, Drew’s Home of Clarkston Golf Outing was a success.

It raised $48,000 from the generosity of 22 volunteers and 85 sponsors. The success of

this year’s outing ensures that Drew’s Home of Clarkston will continue in its mission to

provide safe, accessible, and comfortable living conditions to enhance the lives of adults

with disabilities.

This year’s outing was dedicated to Donna Clancy. After dinner, Dick Moscovic

presented to Donna a plaque honoring her for her work in support of Drew’s Home of

Clarkston. From the advent of Drew’s Home to the present day, Donna has fulfilled

several essential roles that have furthered the mission of Drew’s Home of Clarkston.

Presently, she is leading an even more important role as Co Chairwoman of the DHC

Board of Directors. Due to her many years of service as the leader of Scamp, Donna

shared her expertise and brought much needed direction in the shaping of Drew’s

Home that ensured the sustainability of our mission.

Two hundred and sixteen golfers arrived for registration and a mini-continental

breakfast. Early birds reviewed gifts in the raffle or practiced driving or putting with a

sleeve of golf balls donated by Clarkston Medical Group. At the turn, golfers picked up

a box lunch and Pepsi products.

While on the course, golfers were given opportunities to compete in contests

for the longest drive, the closest to the pin, Vegas hole, skins, and the hole in one for a

vehicle from Dean Sellers Ford.

At the end of the day a chicken and beef dinner buffet was expertly prepared

with a dessert table by the Boulder Pointe Staff. Following dinner, golf prizes were awarded,

raffle tickets were drawn, and the 50/50 winner was announced.

We are pleased to share an exciting milestone in our journey. Drew’s Home of Clarkston has officially purchased Clarkston Corners which houses our remodeled, fully accessible apartments. This purchase carries special meaning. When the property was first acquired, the Moscovic and White families, through their LLC, made a generous commitment - to hold and manage the building until Drew’s Home of Clarkston was financially able to assume single ownership. Their vision and commitment gave us the time we needed to grow and to finance the remodeling of six apartments within the building so that theapartments met the needs of Drew’s Home of Clarkston residents. Today, thanks to the continued support of our donors and community, we are fulfilling that promise. As a result of securing ownership of the building, Drew’s Home of Clarkston ensures that our residents - adults with disabilities who deserve dignity, safety, and independence - will always have a place to call home. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Moscovic and White families for their partnership and to each donor and volunteer whose generosity and time has made this possible Together we are not just purchasing a building. We are creating individual living spaces that ensure that adults with handicaps can live in safe, accessible, and comfortable living conditions that enhance their lives. Together, we are securing a future for them of stability, belonging, and opportunity.

Drew’s Home can collection has become much more than a recycling effort — it is a powerful expression of community support and care in action. Thanks to the generous donation and redemption of more than 30,000 cans, Drew’s Home has been able to fulfill its mission of providing daily tasks, entertainment, and educational experiences for our residents as they interact with individuals in our community. The proceeds from this ongoing effort directly support activities that bring joy, connection, and growth to those we serve. Residents have enjoyed special dinners featuring professional entertainers, creating evenings filled with laughter, music, and memorable moments. Recreational activities such as bowling outings, softball participation, and trips to a movie theater have also been made possible through the funds raised by the can collection. Perhaps most heartwarming of all is the annual Christmas celebration. Complete with a festive dinner, a special visit from Santa, and thoughtful gifts for each resident, the celebration is a direct result of the thousands of cans donated by friends, families, and supporters. What might seem like small contributions individually have collectively created extraordinary experiences. Every can donated represents more than spare change — it represents opportunity, dignity, and joy for the residents of Drew’s Home. Through this simple but impactful initiative, our community continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of those we proudly serve.

June 25, 2022 The Dave Bennett Quartet WOWed the crowd. Dave Bennett is a rare musical talent. You won’t find many jazz clarinet players like Dave Bennett who name Alice Cooper, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Chris Issak among their influences. You won’t find many musicians like Dave who are equally conversant with the music of…
